Please educate me. It is not good to have your driveline bent that way, is it?

Doesn’t look like they aligned the rear axle pinion. Yeah, that’s not good...

I would love to see the owner take this rockcrawling.

Pinion angle should be the same at both ends, if it’s not you get vibration from the speed constantly changing.

So how was Mill Creek? Maybe Bothell?

Looks rotated upwards to me. When I lowered my truck I had to angle my rear pinion down to keep it kosher with the angle of the trans.

Wow, a visitor maybe from Enumclaw or Arlington then, building a mcmansion or selling fake Evian water (remember that one?)- the NIMBYs on the island there would be appalled.

This is basically the generic bro-lift. Haven’t they figured it all out by now? Some bros just won’t learn it seems

You are correct in that this person was a lowly laborer such as I, infesting their island with non-union craftsmanship.
If you’re curious, this was the house I was working at:
https://www.redfin.com/WA/Mercer-Island/4055-W-Mercer-Way-98040/home/258736
Of course the home has been completely remodeled since that photo. Looks really nice. My assumption is that they’re doing a $100,000 remodel and are gonna ask for 4 million on a home they bought for 2.

U joint life is reduced with angles like this. Vibrations increase and your passengers will question your mechanical upkeep. If it has a slip yoke delete, then I wouldn’t worry. Slip yokes aren’t meant for big ass lifts.

No yoke!

I’m thoroughly confused by the lack of tow mirrors

What do you mean? The tow mirrors flip out. I’m pretty sure all HDs come with them.

Oh right, I forgot how they work. In that case, I’m just surprised he doesn’t have them flipped out.

Not sure if photo angle or what, but the rear axle appears to be pushed too far rearward.
These trucks don’t really need that much lift - it only takes 3" in front and you can fit 37s with the right wheels. You do need to change the track bar and some other stuff to keep the axles in the right position, however. Looks like this is just a bad lift with bro-engineering applied.

Hey we can’t have that kind of organization, this isn’t a mature first world country, right? You don’t want to be called a bolshie by the hardworking boostrappers on the eastside.
I am not sure if someone who chose (and likely modified that truck into what it is) might make the best decisions in home repair. Or maybe they are just really good at one thing, and it isn’t truck design.
Ah that house, the 80s/90s modern style that carried over into the oughts. Those boxes remind me of mini office campuses - maybe for the person who really likes to be at work. Doubling in price in 9 years almost seems slow for this area. For fun you should see island prices in the 60s - it was just another suburb.

It’s set up for a double-cardan shaft, where you’ll want the pinion pointed in line with the shaft at ride height.

Double-cardan shaft. It’s supposed to be that way.

Rear pinion angle suggests double-cardan shaft so no slip yoke. Also you can see the grease boot for the slip portion of the shaft right up at the top.
